Cars, clothes, jewels, gadgets, furnishing, sports and any other goods can often be found under the same roof.
The Dubai Shopping Festival is held every January. During the event the entire emirate turns in to one big shopping mall. The festival also brings together music shows, art shows and folk dances.
Traditional Dubai Culture
While the boom and development make Dubai the most modern of cities, much of the old Dubai culture can be found by visiting the area of the creek. The creek divides the city in to two halves, Bur Dubai and Deira. Bur Dubai has most of the old buildings and has the main flavour of the old city. Heritage Village shows a slice of local culture while Diving Village shows local pearl diving and fishing.
